CHINESE COMPASS READING

Let’s map the energy of your space—starting with your floor plan and a compass.

A Compass Reading helps reveal how energy flows through your home or business, so we can work with it—not against it. By identifying the energetic sectors of your space, we gain insight into how to support your goals, well-being, and environment through intentional Feng Shui design.

To begin, we’ll need a simple floor plan. It can be hand-drawn or digital, as long as it’s roughly to scale (for example, a coat closet shouldn’t be larger than a bedroom). See the images below for reference.

Next, we’ll determine the facing direction of your space. Using a traditional compass or the compass app on your phone, stand at the main entrance facing outward toward the street. Hold the compass flat against the threshold or a nearby wall and take a few readings to find an average degree. This degree will guide the energetic alignment.

Once we have your floor plan and facing direction, I’ll use the Chinese Compass to map the energy. Then, we’ll walk through the space, virtually or in person, to explore each sector. I’ll offer Feng Shui insights and design suggestions to help you enhance, support, or balance the energies throughout your space.
