How this all came about is…
Both sides of the family are from Ireland. My parents met and married in San Francisco, California where I was born and raised. It is an amazing place to grow up and California has the reputation of always being on the holistic cusp. Although at the time I was not inclined towards the holistic, I nevertheless was inwardly inspired to be open to possibility and found my path in my thirties while living in New York City.
One day I heard about a book reading of
Light Emerging by
Barbara Ann Brennan. It intrigued me, so I attended the evening event. I say event because it turned out to be Dr. Brennan presenting not only her books, but also her healing arts learning series. A few weeks later I attended a weekend workshop and a few months later I awoke to the full realization that I was a student in a 4-year specialized college for the study of personal development and hands-on energy healing

The 4-years as a near full time student (class work and practical application with people and animals) while working full time was a tough road for me, but I stuck it out. As the school is considered higher education, a thesis related to energy work was required to graduate. Working in the corporate world, I had to look outside of my ‘regular’ life for a topic. I had heard of feng shui and was very interested in its applications, so took on the research needed to learn all I could. I read a multitude of books, attended workshops and offered applications to healing clients to incorporate the results in my thesis of feng shui as a healing tool. The learning and experience were as life changing as becoming a fully trained and qualified
Brennan Healing Sciences Practitioner, so much so that once graduating from BBSH, I completed the
Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design, Feng Shui Studies Certification course and attended a programme in China. In both areas, I continue my education, keeping up-to-date on new and evolving techniques and information.
After working in the corporate world for years and years, I shifted my business focus and established a healing arts practice,
Self & Space, in 1994. My practice meandered along without strong roots until 2000 when I discovered that not only were my listening skills poor, but that I was not supporting my clients in hearing me. I attended a
Listening Course and my life and business almost immediately became focused and thriving. As I developed listening tools and skills, it became clear that I was connecting with clients on an entirely new level; unprompted, they commented on how nice it was to feel truly heard. Eventually I continued my learning the
The Institute of Global Listening and Communication becoming a
Certified Trainer for The Listening Course and a
Life & Professional Development Coach in Communications.
In 2004, following a visit to Ireland, I realized that I had much to offer this new era of the Celtic Tiger. Personal and professional development is a global need, and with both sides of the family Irish, it was a wonderful experience returning twice a year offering courses in feng shui and in listening. It quickly became clear that there was no reason for me to leave, so in 2006 I moved home permanently and currently reside in Limerick.
After a short time, I felt that one area in my education was lacking and that was in reading Earth Energies. In New York, there were very few occasions to divine natural land so what I did know sufficed; in Ireland, however, the land speaks volumes and I was called to learn its language. I attended a course by the
Irish Society of Diviners becoming a
Certified Diviner/Dowser. The journeys I have been on while walking the land and gathering its stories has been phenomenal. There is no question -
I am home.
Through my consultancies, I have worked with a diverse list of clientele, women and men of all ages and backgrounds, in at least 8 countries. I have learned to combine my gifts to offer an all-encompassing, tailored program of Healing.

Holistic Healing Arts Practice, Self & Space Consultancies offers private, on-site and distance clinics, sessions, consultations, workshops, programmes, teleclasses/courses, seminars and talks internationally.
I partner with Spiritual Healers and Practitioners worldwide and have travelled through Europe, the Middle East and Asia absorbing ancient knowledge to incorporate colloquial wisdom as part of my services. These experiences have helped me to integrate an understanding of sacred chi and personal transformation.
I work with Individuals and Groups, with Pets and Rescues, and in Homes and Businesses. My mission is threefold:
